About

An exhibiting artist since the 1970’s, my work encompasses drawings, pastels and paintings. Having studied painting under figurative painter, Mel Leipzig, and an MFA from Pratt Institute in New York City at the height of the super realist art movement, my work is naturally figurative and influenced by painters such as Mel Leipzig, Edward Hopper, Fairfield Porter, Neil Welliver and David Hockney. I always work as much as possible directly from nature, and finish my work in the studio from my reference sketches and photos.
